National Karate Federation of India is formed in the year of 1998. NKFI got golden opportunity to participate in the "8th SAF Games" at "Nepal". Students of NKFI was selected under the direction of "Indian Olympic Association" and informed to include NKFI meritorious players in the "Indian Karate Team" for "8th SAF Games", but the monpolee of AIKF Mumbai they cheated with NKFI students at that time. NKFI did not take any legal action against AIKF Mumbai because "KARATE" was first time included in the "SAF Games" and prestigious issue of our Country & Nepal.
NKFI struggled and make federation stronger in the year 2004 "9th SAF Games" at "Pakistan". Once again "Indian Olympic Association" directed to AIKF Mumbai to come at "Indira Gandhi Stadium" New Delhi on date 10th March 2004 to select the "Indian Karate Team" from Chennai Group & NKFI Students. But AIKF Mumbai did not came for the selection and spoiled the selected students bright future because "Indian Karate Team" was dissolved in the "9th SAF Games" and their federation is promoting "KARATE" only for there name not for "KARATEKAS" bright future. NKFI is promoting for "KARATEKAS" bright future not only for federation name. For Students bright future NKFI got officially recongnisation by "School Games Federation of India", which is recognised by : (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India & Indian Olympic Association) for "KARATEKAS" bright future. NKFI organized officially "National Karate Championship - 2004" as on "Trial Base" under the aegis of "SGFI" at Jammu from 20th, 21st November 2004 around 476 students and 80 officials from 21 states participated and it was grand success.
